Mr. Werfel brings years of engineering, networking, full lifecycle software development, database, and management experience to ViTel Net’s technical team. An advocate of innovative yet pragmatic business solutions, he has spent most of his career as a consultant, helping his commercial and government customers achieve success within constraints.
Recently Mr. Werfel has been specializing in the fields of medical imaging and telemedicine. He assisted in creating the solution that allowed the Department of Veterans Affairs VistA Imaging system to seamlessly share medical images between hospitals in the enterprise and cross enterprise within the Department of Defense. He was part of the team that integrated this technology into a commercially available PACS based on the VistA Imaging software.
